![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() New Vegas is missing a lot of quality of life features that 4 has, which would impact your experience more negatively if you play 4 first.įallout NV is a great game just like Fallout 3 is a great game, but they are showing their age, which may or may not impact your enjoyment. Fallout 4 has a bigger and more interesting map, more detailed locations with far better environmental storytelling, and the Settlement system which can be some people's favorite aspect and other's least favorite, and it simply feels better because of the improvements to combat/movement. I like to say NV for main quests, Fallout 4 for everything else. NV is a better RPG but not necessarily the better game. Fallout 4 received positive reviews from critics, with many praising the world depth, player freedom, overall amount of content, crafting, and soundtrack, while criticism was mainly directed at the game's visuals and technical issues. If you only plan on playing one, then go with New Vegas if you want a story focused RPG set in a Bethesda-esque format or go with Fallout 4 if you want a traditional Bethesda game less focused on the main story and more focused on the sandbox/open world Fallout 4 also marks the first game in the series to feature full voice acting for the protagonist. If you aren't interested in 3, then NV then 4. ![]()
